About Nado
Nado is a central‑limit order book (CLOB) decentralized exchange built on the Ink blockchain, offering spot, perpetuals and money‑market products with a unified margin system. Developed by the team behind Kraken, it aims to bring exchange‑grade speed and advanced order types to on‑chain trading, targeting professional traders and liquidity providers.

Beluga’s take
The UI feels like a trimmed-down Kraken app, with a clean order‑book view and instant order placement. Execution is razor‑fast, often sub‑10 ms, and the unified margin model lets me shift capital between spot, perp and money‑market positions without extra transfers. Fees are low and transparent, and the depth on the central limit order book stays solid even during volatile moves, so slippage is rarely an issue.
The main pain point is the onboarding flow – you still need to bridge assets onto Ink and set up the on‑chain wallet, which adds friction compared to a pure CEX. Liquidity can thin out on less‑traded pairs, and the lack of a native token means there’s no fee rebate or staking incentive to attract deeper market makers. Customer support is also slower than Kraken’s traditional channels, leaving power users waiting on ticket responses.
Since the private alpha closed, Nado has opened season two and added RWA assets as margin, which is a game‑changer for capital efficiency. The protocol fee revenue has risen steadily, and the team is rolling out more advanced order types like iceberg and conditional orders. However, the roadmap for native token integration and deeper LP incentives still feels tentative, so the platform is improving but not yet at the level of a full‑featured exchange.
